I realize that this post comes a few days ritardo.Ma sometimes they are so reluctant to write on the blog.

I cook every day, of course! But I can not always photograph (or perhaps I should say I do not always feel like it!).

I remember a few years ago when I had the bright idea, spurred on by my partner, start writing a cooking blog.

Some thought, then everything started like that, like a game! How do you diary with you when you girls!

I love to cook, like so many other people who will come across in my post looking for recipes and how many atria millions of food bloggers.

I'm glad I started writing on this blog,

but I realize that I do too little! Or sometimes never!

Now we come to us, today we celebrate, that December 13 was celebrated the birthday of my Daphne, this year we decided to do it with a cake worthy of being called that, consists of simple ingredients that blend beautifully with each other : The sponge cake, cream and a diplomatic wet lightly flavored with rum, spiced with the delicious white chocolate. A Party for all the senses! The idea was always brought forth after a long labor, when I have to make a cake for her is always so! Daphne loves white chocolate, but the white chocolate cream I had already made ​​his previous birthday so this time I wanted to change!

Want to know the moral of the tale?

At the end of my lovely Daphne has not even tasted a slice! : (But she was happy to turn off its eleven candles on this beautiful cake!

ingredients:
  • 1 sponge cake
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 40 g of starch
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 400 ml of milk

vanilla seeds
  • 600 ml cream
  • 100 gr. of icing sugar
  • 1 bar of white chocolate
  • 500 ml water
  • 200 gr. sugar

First prepare the syrup :
I do it like this:

1. I boil 500 ml of water with 200 grams. sugar

2. aspect that is cold and put the rum in quantity is a pleasure, I generally like the smell so I do not put much.

Then, prepare the custard :
1. Put the milk on the fire with berry vanilla and heat but do not boil.

2. Whip the egg yolks with the sugar, starch and the seeds of the vanilla bean.

3. Add the milk to the egg mixture and put everything that you have mounted on the fire until the cream is thick. Allow it to cool.

Finally :

Whip the cream with the icing sugar and when the custard is cold, add the two compounds.

Cut the sponge cake ( I usually divide it into 3 discs ) wet and put the cream on and shed which bits of white chocolate, proceed until you finish your discs of sponge cake.

At this point the cake decorated as you like, I used fondant sugar and lots of imagination!
